Workshops Ages 15-18
photography
Ages 15-18
Mondays 3:30 - 5:30 pm
Starting October 15
$100 - 6 classes
Students will learn the elements of photography--light, depth of field, rule of thirds, lines, pattern, symmetry, vantage point, focus--and practice these with hands-on assignments.
Photography is all about process. The goal is to give students an understanding of the techniques. Discussion sessions will most effectively build visual literacy skills.
Students will use lessons and practice to create a body of work for exhibit in the form of a photo essay or a thematic gallery of images. We will learn the various types of photography, professional careers in photography and how to build a portfolio/website.
